About Us

Our Philosophy
At Vertex Business Strategies, we believe that sustainable growth isn’t built on one breakthrough—it’s built on consistent, intentional progress. That philosophy is rooted in Kaizen, the Japanese principle of continuous improvement.
Derived from kai (change) and zen (better), Kaizen represents a disciplined approach to improving every aspect of your business—one step at a time.
Our Approach
We embed Kaizen into how your business operates, not just how it plans. This means:
-
Evaluating current workflows to uncover inefficiencies, friction points, and hidden constraints
-
Empowering your team—from leadership to frontline—to identify opportunities for improvement
-
Designing practical, incremental changes that are easy to implement and immediately impactful
-
Leveraging technology and systems to reinforce and scale those improvements
-
Creating feedback loops to measure results and continuously refine performance
Why It Works
Most organizations chase transformation through large, disruptive initiatives. While sometimes necessary, these efforts are often costly, slow, and difficult to sustain.
Kaizen offers a smarter path:
-
Small improvements compound into significant results
-
Change becomes manageable, not overwhelming
-
Teams become engaged, not resistant
-
Operational excellence becomes a habit, not a project
The Vertex Mindset
We help clients shift from a “big win” mentality to a performance-driven culture of continuous optimization.
Because the most successful businesses don’t just evolve when they have to—
they improve every day, on purpose.
Progress over perfection. Consistency over complexity. Results over time.
About the Founders
Drew brings deep expertise in financial strategy, operational leadership, and execution—the kind that turns big ideas into sustainable, well-run businesses. A Certified Public Accountant (CPA), he began his career in public accounting, advising a diverse range of organizations on assurance, compliance, compliance, and financial strategy. After nearly a decade in public accounting, Drew moved into the private sector, serving as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for multiple organizations, where he partnered closely with leadership teams to improve performance, strengthen financial discipline, and support long-term growth.
Known for his analytical mindset and calm, steady approach, Drew excels at bringing clarity to complex financial and operational challenges. He has helped organizations design and refine financial systems, improve internal processes, and make data-driven decisions that actually hold up in the real world. Where others see spreadsheets, Drew sees stories—about what’s working, what’s broken, and what needs to change for a business to move forward with confidence.
Outside of work, Drew is a devoted father of two who enjoys spending time outdoors and staying active. He also enjoys the occasional round of golf, where he’s developed a reputation for letting the scorecard do the talking—much to the ongoing surprise of his business partner, Wyn. Drew brings that same thoughtful, steady presence to every client relationship, helping leaders build stronger foundations so growth isn’t just ambitious, but sustainable.
Wyn brings more than two decades of experience in sales, sales leadership, executive leadership, and coaching. He’s worked with organizations ranging from publicly traded companies to regional distributorships, with most of his career spent in the highly competitive world of medical device sales—where results matter, excuses don’t, and accountability is non-negotiable.
A natural problem solver with a competitive streak, Wyn is known for helping leaders identify what’s really standing in the way of growth and then doing something about it. Wyn has a knack for cutting through noise, identifying what’s really holding a business back, and helping leaders turn strategy into measurable growth. He’s energized by competition, motivated by progress, and deeply invested in helping teams perform at their best. He thrives on building winning sales teams, sharpening leadership skills, and turning ambitious goals into real-world results (the kind that actually show up on the scoreboard).
When he’s not helping businesses grow, Wyn is a devoted father of four, an outdoors enthusiast, and an athlete at heart. He also enjoys reminding his business partner, Drew, that financial expertise does not translate to golf expertise—a lesson Drew continues to relearn with impressive consistency. Wyn brings that same energy, humor, and drive to every client relationship, making even the toughest challenges a little more fun to tackle.
